About 100 Days of Giving
Every year, Waking Up gives a minimum of 10% of its profits to the most effective charities. This year, we want our members to help guide that project. So, every day for the next 100 days, one member who opens the app will be selected to choose which of our 10 pre-vetted charities will receive $10,000. We’ll be giving away a total of $1,000,000 throughout the course of the campaign.
How We Select Members
To have the opportunity to direct that day's $10,000 donation, all you need to do is opt in via the email we've sent.
From there, members will be selected at random.
How We Chose the Charities
We’ve focused on charities already vetted by organizations in the effective altruism community, including Giving What We Can, Give Well, Founder's Pledge, and Longview Philanthropy.
